Where to begin with the wedding of Nimisha and Tom. With a mixture of Polish and Indian traditions this was a very unique wedding and rehearsal dinner. Some of the highlights include two ceremonies, the USC Marching Band leading the groom in during the Barat on horse and carriage, traditional Polish dancers, several wardrobe changes, a couple of different bands, an afterparty, etc. etc. The list goes on. To sum it up this was an extremely fun wedding and a lot of work to capture every over the two days. Our old friends Dina and Yoshi from Andrena Photography were shooting beside us handling the photography. Check out the video with two songs the couple picked out to represent the two different cultures coming together.

Anjali and Samir were married on the rooftop of the Marriot Hotel in Marina Del Ray. Following Samir’s entrance on horseback the ceremony provided excellent views in all directions. Our good friend photographer Francine Yang was a pleasure to work with as always. Francine is a talented artist whose calm personality is joy to be around. The reception was a blast with a ton of crazy dancing and a sketch comedy/dance number straight out of Bollywood. In what was my favorite design of a ballroom for the year, Smita Mohindra at Ethnic Essence and Jack Hou at AV Lighting set up some amazing lighting and color schemes that made for some really cool shots.
Sarika and Prabhu were married In San Diego Sept 5 with a Sangeet the night before. This highlight was put together for them the next day so they could take it with them to Washington DC and share it with friends and family at a separate wedding reception they were having there. They requested the song “Run this town” by Jay-Z to be included in their highlights which I think really showed off their personalities and the fun of their party.
Namrata and Akmal’s reception took place at the Four Seasons in Westlake Village. Our friends Dina Douglas and Yoshi were on hand to photograph the event which was put together by the wonderful Sonia Sharma.
It was great seeing our friends and meeting new ones at the release party for the South Asian Bride Magazine. Sonia Sharma put together a great event at the Ritz Carlton in Marina Del Ray. Our favorite photographers Dina Douglas and Yoshi Morimoto were in attendance.
